I wouldn’t want to live in a world without the Nintendo I grew up knowing. Hiroshi Yamauchi may not have designed the video games that I came to love, but he gave artists like Shigeru Miyamoto and Koji Kondo a canvas to paint on. He knew the value of interactive video gaming and helped breathe life back into an industry that was struggling to get its footing during the mid 80s. Who knows how dull and stagnate the late ’80s and early ’90s would have been without Nintendo to push the envelope and redefine how a console should be and how games should be designed. Thank you for your contribution to the world, Mr. Yamauchi.
During a Q & A for Director Shinichiro Watanabe’s panel at Otakon, the project known as Space Dandy was revealed, a comedic space anime about the "dandiest man in space."
